Urban Farm Concept // 2017

Inspiration derives from a lemon. This formal exploration is a translation of the fruit with extreme tartness and acidity into an urban farm in Hamtramck, Michigan. As a lemon’s existence inspires the protagonist’s spectacle fantasy in a poetic short story by Motojiro Kajii, this representation attempts to visualize the harmonization of the current status of the city: a tension between the minority majority of Muslim and Christian communities. Citric stimulates to refresh the status quo as public architecture that will dissolve conflict, embrace diversity, and grow a healthy lifestyle through farming.
